Ok, so I haven't blogged in awhile - however a recent event has inspired me to do something in memory of a great family pet.

When my family decided to move out into the country on a horse farm, there was no doubt that we needed to get some "barn cats." Dexter and Roxy were are first two kittens that we got. I remember Dexter being an extra fluffy, exceptionally pink-nosed kitten. After getting to know Dexter and how friendly he was - we considered bringing him in the house several times. However, our dog Sadie was a little too agressive for Dexter. Still, Dexter was barely a barn cat to us.

He quickly made his home in our garage with a kitty bed included, but often slept on my dads car. Dexter was the most friendly cat I have ever been around and quickly became great friends with my sisters 3-year-old daughter, Claire. Every day when Claire would come over she would ask where "Deck-der" was, and spend a lot of time playing with him.

The other week I got a call from my upset sister, and knew something had happened to the cat. We lived right on a busy highway and sadly Dexter decided to cross at the wrong time and was hit by a car. I had a fear of this happening for such a long time and suddenly the reality had hit me.

It hit me the hardest when Claire said to me, "Maybe Dexter is just gone out playing with his friends, or maybe taking a nap in the barn." The hardest thing was to see Claire's little buddy taken away from her.

However, I do believe that Dexter is out playing with his friends. I know he is the most popular cat in kitty heaven - he was one cool dude. Some may say he was just a "barn cat," but Dexter was also part of our family and a great friend to little Claire.

Dexter was buried under one of his favorite shade trees out in our horse pastures and is resting in peace with our other kitty, Tessie. Miss you buddy - take care of that sassy calico! <3

I have a slight obsession with this song. I think I could listen to it all day everyday!

Haha! Ok so this was just too funny not to post! What do you think?

Hello friends! For those of you who are still in school, I hope you had a wonderful break. I had a great break spending a lot of time with my family and traveling to the Rose Bowl game in Pasadena, CA. And while yes, Wisconsin did lose, I had a wonderful time! (Pictures will be coming to my blog soon!) The time has come where I have begun my final semester at UW-Milwaukee.It is crazy that 3 and a half years have gone by so quickly! I will have many fond memories of this place, as I have gained many amazing new friends and coworkers. I would like to thank all of you, as well as some of the great teachers I have had here for making this a great “college experience.” However, not to worry friends, I do plan on staying in Milwaukee for at least another year or longer. I feel that my opportunities in the PR and marketing fields are greater in Milwaukee, so I will be sticking around to see what I can find. Hopefully everything works out as planned ( or close to it) and I’m sure everyone will be seeing a lot of me around here in the future.

Ok, so once again it has been awhile since I have been able to find some extra time to write a blog! Things have been crazy in my life lately trying to work a job and have 2 internships. Of course, I always enjoy a little challange though! I am really loving my new internship with Associated Banc-Corp. They are a great company to work for and I greatly appreciate the opprotunity they have given me to put my talents to work.

Anyway, just wanted to say Happy Holidays to everyone and enjoy a little time off! (Maybe during my time off I will be able to post a new blog even! ) :)

I just have to say I really love this song. So check it out!

Yes friends, I am still alive! I just have been so crazy busy that I haven’t had a chance to update my blog in a while. So what’s new with me? I now have a 2nd internship with Associated Bank Corp. I work in marketing with the Wealth Management department, and I love it! I also am still with the Milwaukee Radio Alliance and working events in my spare time.

This semester so far has been crazy with very intense classes, 2 internships, and a job, but for the most part I am loving it. For our PR campaigns class, we are currently working with Panther Bookstore powered by Neebo as our client. I am the social media for the class and am becoming very interested in the whole social media side of PR.

For now it’s time for me to get back to some homework, but I promise I will blog more often!

Ok, so I will admit, I was one of those kids that has sticker collection when I was younger, and yes, I still have it. Recently, I stumbled upon this article that talks about the use of stickers in advertising. It is amazing how stickers evolved since my weak little sticker collection! Check out the article here, it's pretty neat. Below is an example of one of my favorite stickers!

Ok, so when I saw this news story I couldn't help but share it with everyone. Not only is this story totally bizarre, but also very poorly written. However, I guarantee you will get a kick out of it! Read it here...

I decided I needed to add a little extension to my tribute to my friends. My friend Rachel and I were able to attend the first Wisconsin Badger football game of the season. It was a very hot, 95 degrees, and the most humid I have ever felt! However, we still managed to have a great time. We also got a chance to meet up with a couple of my roommates from last year, Tina and Ramsey. Always good times had with friends in Madison!
